- Yes, but if you have $50 to spend on improving the performance of your
- machine it would probably be better to buy for example, 2Meg of RAM or
- upgrade to a faster processor or put it towards a new machine or save
- up and buy a better video card or a faster hard disk or etc, etc.

- An ESP card is probably going to buy you less of an improvement in
- performance than any of the above. Of course, if you are doing a lot
- of serial comms (e.g. 4 or more ports at high speed) then better
- hardware is worthwhile but for most people who just use one port for
- a modem and maybe another for a mouse it is simply overkill.
